By | Football, Pro Football

With Joe Flacco Reportedly Being Traded to the Denver Broncos, Now is the Time to Relieve His Clutch and Memorable Moments in a Baltimore Ravens Uniform!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Sports Teller! Today, we will be going over the latest news on Joe Flacco’s Top 10 Clutch Moments as a Baltimore Raven. Beofre we get to those top 10 moments, we must go over the main story report regarding Joe Flacco’s trade situation. Without further adieu, let’s begin!

Joe Flacco’s Top 10 Clutch Moments as a Baltimore Raven

What is Joe Flacco’s Trade Situation?

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported that the Ravens and the Broncos reached a principal agreement on a trade that would send QB Joe Flacco to the Mile High City. Schefter also reported that the Ravens would likely receive a mid-round draft pick in return. However, the trade cannot be official until the NFL’s 2019 calendar year begins on March 13. Until then, the league forbids teams from commenting publicly on the details of a trade in the works.

Once the trade becomes official in March, this deal marks an end to Joe Flacco’s 11-season run as Ravens QB. In addition, the trade also means the beginning of an era for new QB and former Heisman Trophy Winner Lamar Jackson. For the later part of the 2018 season, the Ravens benched Flacco in favor of Jackson (who went 6-2 since taking over the role including playoffs). What was the main reason for the benching? Jackson performed so well in taking over as QB after Flacco suffered a hip injury during the team’s Week 9 divisional loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

What Would a Super Bowl LIII Win Mean to the Rams?

By | Football, Pro Football, TV Schedule

If the Rams End Up Winning Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta on Sunday, What Would the Lombardi Trophy Mean to the Franchise and All of Los Angeles?

Hello everyone! Welcome to Sports Teller! Today, we will be going over the latest news involving What Would a Super Bowl LIII Win Mean to the Rams? Without further adieu, let’s begin!

What Would a Super Bowl LIII Win Mean to the Rams?

The Los Angeles Rams will be playing in their fourth Super Bowl appearance in franchise history on Sunday. In fact, the last time the Rams played in the Big Game was during the 2001 NFL Season. In early 2002, the then St. Louis Rams played against Tom Brady in Super Bowl XXXVI in New Orleans, Louisiana. However, the Rams would go on to lose to the Patriots 20-17 thanks to Adam Vinatieri’s game-winning field goal as time expired. Looking to add their second Lombardi Trophy since winning one in 1999, the Rams need to solve the offensive power of Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, Sony Mitchell, and the Patriots on Sunday. Most importantly, the Rams are playing in their first Super Bowl since they relocated from St. Louis in 2016.

If the Rams do end up winning Super Bowl LIII, what would it mean to the city of Los Angeles?

  • The win will hold a significance place in the history of Los Angeles sports. The City of Angels has not won a professional sports championship since the Los Angeles Kings hoisted Lord Stanley in 2014. Despite the drought, L.A. has hosted numerous major sporting events over the past few years. For example, the Dodgers hosted both the 2017 and 2018 World Series at Dodgers Stadium against the Astros and Red Sox (respectively). In fact, the Staples Center hosted both the 2017 NHL All-Star Game as well as the 2018 NBA All-Star Game. For the 2021 NFL Season, both the Rams and Chargers will host Super Bowl LVI at their new home at L.A. Stadium at Hollywood Park. Los Angeles will also host the 2028 Summer Olympics, the first time a U.S. city hosted such a global event since Atlanta in 1996. If the Rams win the Super Bowl, they would be the first Los Angeles-based NFL team to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in history.
  • The victory would mean everything to the fans because of Los Angeles’ continued championship success. For instance, they would get to watch the city’s first title parade since the Kings gave one on 2014. In fact, the players and coaches would hold victory speeches and guarantees of a potential title repeat next season.

What Would a Super Bowl LIII Win Mean to the Patriots?

If the Patriots End Up Winning Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta on Sunday, What Would the Lombardi Trophy Mean to the Franchise and All of New England?

Hello everyone! Welcome to Sports Teller! Today, we will be going over the latest news involving What Would a Super Bowl LIII Win Mean to the Patriots? Without further adieu, let’s begin!

What Would a Super Bowl LIII Win Mean to the Patriots?

The New England Patriots will be playing in their eleventh Super Bowl appearance in franchise history on Sunday. In fact, the last time the Patriots played in the Big Game was during the 2017 NFL Season. In early 2018, New England played against Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis Minnesota. However, the Patriots would go on to lose to the Eagles 41-33 as Philadelphia won its first Lombardi Trophy in franchise history. Looking to add their sixth Lombardi Trophy over the past two decades, the Patriots need to solve QB Jared Goff as well as the dynamic defense of the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

If the Patriots do end up winning Super Bowl LIII, what would it mean to the city of Boston?

  • The win will hold a significance place in the history of Boston sports. Over the past 19 years, there has been eleven championships in the capital city of Massachusetts. For instance, the Patriots have won five Super Bowl championships since 2000. In fact, the Red Sox ended up winning four World Series titles in a 14-year span from 2004 to 2018. In addition, the Bruins ended their 39-year championship drought by winning the Stanley Cup in 2011. The Celtics won their first NBA title in 22 years when they defeated the Lakers in 2008.
  • The victory would mean everything to the fans because of Boston’s continued championship success. For instance, they would get to watch the city’s first title parade since the Patriots gave one on 2017. In fact, the players and coaches would hold victory speeches and guarantees of a potential title repeat next season.

Controversy Involving the Patriots

  • Over the past decade, the Patriots have faced controversy over cheating allegations. For example, the team faced accusations for their involvement in the 2007 Spygate scandal. The allegations said that the team used the New York Giants’ information during a 2007 game.  In addition, the Patriots faced accusations for deflating football during the 2015 AFC Title Game vs. the Indianapolis Colts. As a result, the NFL suspended Brady for the first four games of the 2016 season. Another Super Bowl win would erase the negative publicity the team faced from those allegations and Commissioner Goodell would give the Lombardi Trophy to Brady.
